Vision tools

The Agent Toolbox includes three vision tools that let your on-glasses assistant use its camera to help with the job. They are free, included with every account, and the engineer triggers them by voice.

Take a photo

Say "take a photo for the report", "grab a snap" or "take a picture" and the assistant captures the current view from the glasses and saves it. You choose where it goes:

• Onto a form. The photo is added to the form being filled, so it lands in the photo box on the finished document.
• To the job diary. The photo is attached to the job in your job management system, alongside the rest of the job record.
• As a link to send. The photo is saved and you get a link, so the assistant can email it to the customer in the same breath.

It always saves the photo and gives you a way to use it, so it is never a dead end.

Analyse what you are looking at

Point the glasses at something and ask. Say "what model is this", "read the GC number off the boiler" or "what's the fault code". The assistant looks at the current view and answers, reading a specific number, label or code back exactly as printed. It is the fastest way to capture a data-plate value without crouching down to copy it by hand, and the value can be dropped straight into the form you are filling.

Point to a part

Ask "where is the gas valve", "point to the isolation switch" or "show me the filter" and the assistant finds the part in view and shows it back on your glasses with a circle (or an arrow) marking it. It is built for guiding a less experienced engineer to the right component without anyone having to describe it in words. If the part is not clearly in view, the assistant tells you it cannot see it rather than guessing.

How it works

All three capture a still image from the glasses the moment you ask, so they work hands-free in the middle of a job. The photo tools store images securely against your account; the analyse and point-to-a-part tools read the image to answer or to mark it up, and show the result back on the glasses. Nothing needs setting up. The tools are on as soon as the free Agent Toolbox is active.
