June and July 2026 are about getting started faster: phone-first pairing, ready-to-go new accounts, guided product tours, and two new job-management integrations.
Phone-first pairing, up to 3 devices per seat
Pairing has been rebuilt around the phone:
- No hardware prerequisites. Pair a phone to a seat the moment the seat exists - no device registration, no serial numbers, no waiting for glasses to arrive.
- Up to 3 devices per seat. A phone, a spare, and a pair of full AR glasses can all live on one seat. The Devices page shows every device with its own unpair control.
- QR or shareable link. Scan the QR from the Devices page, or create a shareable pairing link and open it on the device - handy for sending to an engineer to set up in their own time. Links last days, work more than once, and can be revoked.
- No login in the app. Pairing is what binds the device to your account and seat - engineers never type a password on their phone or glasses.
- Live status. The pairing modal confirms the instant a device lands, and unpairing from the app shows up on the dashboard without a refresh marathon.

Sessions on the phone, with or without glasses
Trainee sessions run on the phone alone - the camera is the AI's eyes and the AI talks you through the job. Connect Bluetooth glasses (like Mentra Live) for hands-free work, or run full AR glasses natively. Trainer sessions need a hands-free POV camera, so they unlock when glasses are connected. New accounts come ready to go
Sign up and start - the setup is done for you:
- A seat is created and assigned to you automatically, with both trainer and trainee roles.
- The Agent Toolbox bundle is switched on from day one.
- UK accounts get The Complete UK knowledge base automatically.
- Every new account starts with 200 free welcome minutes of session time.
Guided tours and a Getting Started checklist
The dashboard now shows a short guided tour on key pages (Home, Devices, Skills & Knowledge) - built for desktop and mobile, dismissible at any time, replayable from Settings. New admins land on the Devices page with a live Getting Started checklist on Home that ticks itself off as you pair a device, run a session, browse your free knowledge, and invite your team.
New integration: Payaca
Connect Payaca and your scheduled visits become TrainAR tasks in real time. Training results flow back as project notes with completed form PDFs attached, and the AI assistant gets hands-free Payaca tools (find jobs, today's visits, dictate notes, and more). See Payaca.
New integration: Powered Now
Connect Powered Now with a single OAuth sign-in - no API keys. Jobs sync as tasks via real-time webhooks, training results flow back as job notes with form PDFs attached, and the AI assistant gets hands-free Powered Now tools. See Powered Now.
Writeback never changes a job's status on any platform - what happens to the job after training stays your team's call, in your FSM.
Forms, vision tools, and the Agent Toolbox

Odds and ends
- Skill responses that render visually now target the user's device or glasses - the copy and docs reflect that sessions aren't glasses-only.
- Session detail pages show photos snapped during the session.
- Dozens of small fixes across pairing, sessions, and settings.
