Resend integration

Resend is part of the Agent Toolbox - the set of hands-free tools the on-glasses AI assistant can use during a session. Once you connect your own Resend account, an engineer can send an email out loud, with attachments, without touching a keyboard: "email the job report to the office", "send the customer the completed gas safety certificate", "email a photo of the fault to the supervisor". The assistant writes the email, attaches the relevant file or a photo captured on the glasses, reads it back, and sends it from your verified domain.

Because it uses your Resend account and verified domain, email arrives from your own address - not a generic TrainAR sender - so it lands cleanly and looks professional. You keep control of deliverability and cost.

What you can do with TrainAR + Resend

Once connected, the on-glasses assistant gains a Send Email tool. Typical hands-free uses:

• Email a completed form (e.g. a gas safety record) to the customer as a PDF.
• Send the job report and session summary to the office.
• Email a photo captured on the glasses to a supervisor or manufacturer.
• Forward the customer a follow-up note after the visit.

The assistant always confirms the recipient, subject, and attachment before sending.

Note: Send Email only appears in the assistant's toolset once Resend is connected. Until then the tool stays hidden, so engineers are never offered an action that can't complete.

Setup

You'll need:

• Admin access to TrainAR.
• A Resend account with a verified sending domain (set up under Domains in the Resend dashboard).

1. Create a Resend API key

In the Resend dashboard: go to API Keys → Create API Key, give it sending permission, and copy the key (it starts with re_ and is shown only once). Note the from address on your verified domain you want to send from (e.g. engineer@yourcompany.co.uk).

2. Connect Resend in TrainAR

1. TrainAR Dashboard → Integrations → Resend → Connect.
2. Paste your API key and your From address.
3. Click Connect. Your key is encrypted and stored in a secure vault - never written to our database in plain text and never shown again.
4. The card shows Connected, and the Send Email tool is now available to the on-glasses assistant.

3. Verify it's working

Start a session on the glasses and ask the assistant to email a test message (or a captured photo) to yourself. It should arrive within seconds, from your own domain.

Managing the connection

Open TrainAR Dashboard → Integrations → Resend to update your key or disconnect. Disconnecting immediately removes the Send Email tool from the assistant.

What it costs

The Resend integration is included in every TrainAR subscription. Email volume is billed by Resend directly to your own account at your Resend rate - TrainAR adds nothing on top.
