Parts & Spares
Parts & Spares is TrainAR's first platform bundle — a parts-intelligence layer for engineers working on UK boilers and central heating.

Parts & Spares is TrainAR's first platform bundle — a parts-intelligence layer for engineers working on UK boilers and central heating. It's built on Infomill's Parts Arena, the authoritative UK trade-parts catalogue.
When the bundle is active, the AI assistant on the glasses can identify boilers, surface manual pages, render exploded-view diagrams in the engineer's eyeline, and look up parts by name or number — all in voice, hands-free.
What's in the bundle
Five skills, one integration, and access to Parts Arena's full UK boiler + heating catalogue:
Skills
pa_identify_model— boiler identification by GC number. The engineer reads the GC number off the boiler plate; the AI returns the manufacturer, model, and a clean record the other skills can chain off.pa_search_parts— free-text parts search across the catalogue. "Find me a diverter valve for a Worcester 30CDi" returns matching parts with order codes.pa_get_parts_list_for_model— full parts list for an identified model. Useful when the engineer's quoting a service.pa_show_manual_page— fetches a specific page from the manufacturer's manual and renders it in the eyeline of the glasses. Voice control: "show me page 12," "next page," "go back."pa_show_exploded_view— fetches an exploded-parts diagram and renders it overlaid. Voice control: "show me the burner exploded view," "rotate," "zoom in."
The engineer doesn't need to memorise the skill names — they just describe what they want and the AI picks the right tool.
Integration
A Parts Arena tile appears in Dashboard → Integrations when the bundle is active. It manages the catalogue connection on your behalf — no engineer-side credentials needed.
Catalogue scope
Parts Arena covers the UK boiler + central heating market. Coverage is updated continuously by Infomill from manufacturer data feeds. Current major manufacturers in the catalogue include Worcester, Vaillant, Baxi, Ideal, Glow-worm, Viessmann, ATAG, Alpha, Potterton, Main, and many more.
If a specific model isn't yet in the catalogue, the AI will say so rather than guess.
Who it's for
Parts & Spares pays for itself fastest with:
- Field service engineers — boiler servicers, fault diagnosis, parts replacement.
- Quoting engineers — generating accurate parts lists for jobs.
- Trainees and improvers — they don't know parts by sight yet; the bundle lets them work like an experienced engineer from day one.
- Engineers covering unfamiliar models — the AI pulls the right manual page or exploded view without the engineer needing to find the PDF on a phone.
What it looks like in a session
A real flow on a Worcester service:
- Engineer: "Look at the model plate. What's this boiler?"
- AI (via
capture_camera+pa_identify_model): "That's a Worcester Greenstar 30CDi Compact, GC number 47-311-66. I've got the manual loaded." - Engineer: "Show me the exploded view of the burner."
- AI (via
pa_show_exploded_view): renders the diagram in the engineer's eyeline. "Here's the burner. The part numbers are tagged." - Engineer: "What's the order code for the burner gasket?"
- AI (via
pa_search_parts): "Burner gasket for this model is part 87161113870, in stock at Parts Arena."
Total engineer time spent: about 30 seconds. Without the bundle, the same lookup is a phone screen, an app, a search, and a transcription.
Activating Parts & Spares
- Dashboard → Marketplace — find Parts & Spares.
- Click Subscribe, choose seat count, confirm.
- The Parts Arena integration tile appears in Dashboard → Integrations automatically — no further connection needed (the catalogue is platform-managed).
- Allocated seats get the five
pa_*skills in their next session.
No glasses-side configuration. No engineer training required — the AI picks the right skill from natural speech.
Things to know
- The five skills only fire when the AI determines they're useful. Asking the AI a question that doesn't match a parts/manual/diagram intent won't trigger any of them; it'll fall back to the knowledge base or general reasoning.
- Skill calls count toward minute consumption. Most Parts Arena calls are sub-second, so the minute impact is minimal — but a long render-and-pan-through-manual sequence will register.
- Catalogue updates are live. When Infomill adds a new model or revises a manual, your engineers see it on their next session — no platform update needed.
- The bundle is read-only from your side. You can't add custom parts to the Parts Arena catalogue via the bundle. If you need custom internal parts data alongside, upload it as knowledge in Skills & Knowledge → Knowledge and the AI will combine both sources.
